START Project Workplan
START will be organised into 7 activities, each led by one project partner. Each activity will have a series of actions that will collectively achieve the objectives of the project. Some actions will solely be transnational with partners from each country working together to build and implement solutions and others will have a transnational element to implement tangible results to improve the accessibility of each region.
The expected results of the project will contribute to the strategic objectives of the Atlantic Area programme by implementing improved local transport services in each START region, together with state of the art customer focussed information provision.
This activity will develop a communication campaign for each region based on the INTEGRA concept. Communication products will be designed to encourage local people and visitors to the region to use public transport services.
This activity will develop the prototype transnational web portal www.integra-travel.eu into a fully sustainable project.
This horizontal transnational activity will ensure that all outputs, products and deliverables of the START project are accessible and/or available in alternative formats for disabled people and people with learning difficulties.
This activity will involve the development of new and improvements to existing City/regional journey planners to cater for the needs of the transnational traveller.
This activity will look to provide advanced information to the transnational traveller. The activity will expand on the experience and knowledge of the PARTNER project and transfer of knowledge from the new project partners.
This Activity will implement new and innovative ticketing systems to make using sustainable modes of transport easier to use, more convenient when changing modes and a clear pricing structure for journeys.
This activity will introduce new and enhanced sustainable transport services in the AA regions. The activity will learn form lessons learnt in the PARTNER project and the transfer of knowledge between the project partners.
