At Glasgow Airport , an electronic info rmation display was installed at the SPT (Strathclyde Partnership for Transport) travel centre in June 2009.
The display shows all scheduled bus departures from Glasgow Airport , including express coaches to Glasgow city centre. Tickets and info rmation are available from SPT staff during office hours, and customers can still view the display out with these times.
Moreover, at the Hillhead Subway Station, a bus electronic info rmation display was installed in March 2009. This display shows all scheduled bus departures from the nearby thoroughfare of Byres Road, the main road through Glasgow 's West End, allowing connectivity between Subway and Bus.
It serves 30,000 students and faculty from Galsgow University, many from overseas, making it one of the busiest stations in the SPT Subway. Byres Road is a very popular tourist area due to the close proximity to Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Park, Hunterian Museum, Botanic Gardens as well as café, bars, shopping and hotels. Local public transport literature is also available from this location. Also in March 2009, a real time bus info rmation was installed at Partick Interchange, the fifth busiest rail station in Scotland with 4 million customers per year. This station offers connectivity between bus, rail and Subway. The next phase is to extend individual real time screens to the 4 bus stances within the bus station.
