The INTEGRA Concept

INTEGRA’s origins

Started in the context of the INTERREG IIIB PARTNER Project, the INTEGRA concept took shape and increased in scale as part of the START project. It aims to make journeys on public transport throughout the regions of the Atlantic area easier, by providing clear and practical information to travellers, all under the banner “Integra – travel made easy”.

Strengthening areas’ accessibility and appeal

INTEGRA will be used as a quality label for traveller information, as a supplement to existing local brands. Travellers can be sure that they will be able to travel with confidence as soon as they find the label; participating towns will benefit from increased appeal through INTEGRA.

The INTEGRA portal, an all-in-one transport information point

INTEGRA is also a multimodal and multilingual traveller information portal, which offers practical information and useful links to other websites which may be of interest to those travelling in the Atlantic area:

  1. Travel from one region to another in Europe. Information on different ways of travelling – by plane, train, ferry or bus – town to town, region to region within the Atlantic Area and eventually, throughout the rest of Europe..
  2. Travel around INTEGRA towns. practical information available about the best way of using public transport in the INTEGRA town, information on places to visit…
