Gaelic Rings Portal Development

The aim is to provide a web based travel portal designed to facilitate travel to, from and within the Highlands and Islands . The portal will act as a central point to direct people to appropriate travel information across air, bus, rail and ferry.

RTI & On-board information for key Highland & Island Transport Services Passenger Information (RTPI) for bus travellers at significant points in the Highlands & Islands Region to improve the travel experience using modern technology. Multi-lingual audio-visual information will be provided on-board buses.

Highland & Island Regional Gateway Improvements

Targeted investment aimed at delivering a step change in the quality of bus links to key regional gateways in the Highlands & Islands. This funding is aimed at seeing new buses introduced on routes to Inverness, Kirkwall and Stornoway Airports .
