With its prime location in the heart of Glasgow city centre, close proximity to Glasgow’s renowned shopping areas and both major rail stations, Buchanan bus station is a major transport hub for residents and visitors, with approximately 35,000 customers per day passing through the station.
One way that START has assisted SPT in providing improved onward travel information for customers has been making it possible to install 2 self service kiosks at the bus station. The kiosks not only provide journey planning options for all forms of public transport for Glasgow and the surrounding areas, but also have real time rail information for nearby Queen Street railway station, a local map and taxi information.
